The eighth album from veteran children’s music artist, Dana, Wonder FULL celebrates the myriad questions and endless curiosity that fill the minds of young children. With titles inspired by question words –– like WHY, WHAT, WHERE, WHO, HOW, WHICH & WHEN –– Dana’s new songs explore topics that kids wonder about with humor and empowering, heartwarming messages. Featuring a wide range of musical styles from rock to bluegrass, bossa nova and the blues, Wonder FULL invites children to find the magic in the mysteries of life.

It’s hard to believe that three decades have flown by since I first began creating music for children. The past 30 years of writing, recording and performing music for families has brought me immeasurable joy and fulfillment. There is nothing more gratifying than seeing little faces smiling back at me and crowds of kiddos jumping along to my tunes.
To mark this milestone, I decided to re-record a favorite track from my very first album. The song, Why What Where Who asks some of the timeless questions that swirl inside little heads. Revisiting this song inspired me to explore childhood curiosity even further and create an entire album celebrating the endless spark of wonder that fills the minds of children. They truly are FULL of wonder! Writing songs around each question word for Wonder FULL was a fun challenge, as I imagined the topics kids could most relate to and learn from. Sharing messages of kindness, empowerment and the importance of family and connection, these songs encourage children to discover “magic in the mysteries of life” ––while reassuring them that it’s okay not to have all the answers.
From the very beginning, my mission has been to educate, inspire and entertain children through music––while introducing them to a wide variety of genres. I am honored that so many incredible musicians joined me on this project, helping to create a level of artistry and quality production that I believe little ears deserve to hear.
My heartfelt gratitude goes to Brian Sargent for producing the album so beautifully and for playing numerous instruments on every track. Immense thanks to Grammy® winner, Ron Korb, Grammy® nominees, George Varghese, Russ Hewitt and E J Ouellette, as well as superb musicians, Campbell Charshee, Mr. Jeff, Steve Elci and Seth Farber for playing so brilliantly on the songs. Collaborating with my dear friend, Ronnie Boy Kids on WHAT (Can We Do) ––produced by the amazing Marc Lawrence––was a true joy. And, of course, big love and thanks to Jack Sargent and Lillian Graham, whose sweet voices shine on the children’s vocals.
I hope your own spark of curiosity will forever burn brightly, and that you will share these songs with the young ones in your life… they were created for them!
Thank you for listening,
dana
